Whilst holidaying for the weekend in Whinfell Forest with my amazing family I ventured out on my own whilst they were otherwise occupied (or sleeping) to take some pictures. Whilst out I came across a brilliant Pheasant and... well... here are the results...
These were taken on 2017-09-02 and 2017-09-03. Enjoy my embarrassment!
There it is! I followed this bird from deep in the woods trying to get a decent picture and failed miserably....
As you can see it went over to someones house and, being a weird looking guy in my mid-twenties, I wasn't going to go sneaking around some families house with a camera in the early hours of a Saturday morning so I had to let the Pheasent go, hoping I'd find it or another one again...
You win this round, you feathery escape artist!
And the next day I saw it again! Actually, it looks like a different one... Either way, I failed again.
That was it! I never saw another Pheasant so... I failed. Ah well. I got some pretty good other pictures so I'm happy, I'll accept the loss. Besides, I've got so many more pictures to show you! Do please feel free to give any tips or comments on better ways to get a picture of a bird like this! I'd hugely appreciate it!
