Autumn's Divine Maturation

Autumn, one of the most beautiful seasons. Hey, every season is beautiful and I'm so glad I got to go out and see those different forms of beauty (Wow, this got esoteric quick). What more can I saw beyond the fact that Autumn is immense! The joy of Summer slowly giving way to the grace of Winter and if you get to see that perfect balance between the two it can be truly phenomenal. I tried to capture some of that here. Let me know how I did.

These were all taken on 2017-10-27 on a fairly cold yet still sunny Autumn morning in the Haigh Woodlands. Weather was favorably clear and the tree's bare as Autumn really had done away with Summer, but hadn't quite begun bringing Winter just yet.

Enjoy!

I'm so proud of this! One of my absolute favourites!

Same shot with a bit more clarity.

The usual stuff.

One of the lesser seen colours of Autumn.

Shame to see one fallen in its prime.

The log looking back on where it used to stand.

Decent Autumn colours!

Gold...

...Green...

...and Blue.

Saw the log, way up on the side of a steep hill. Passing people were looking at me strangely scrambling to get there but had to do it for these few shots.

How can I not play with the colour filter in the most colourful seasons there is?

See, there's still some green!

Orange mushrooms near Halloween. The picture took itself.

So did this one...

This picture counts as my Halloween post for this year. I promise next year I'll do something bigger!

Those colours though!

Golden Halloween!

More golden woodland.

Parent and child...

Had to go for a pretentious angle on at least one!

Hidden river...

Hidden Halloween river...

Yeah, this river features in my favourite places reel.

Blue colour filter! Managed to do that really subtly, quite proud of that.

Pretty proud of this one too.

Best picture I have EVER taken with the colour filter! Right there!
(Pack up the blog, we're done here... I'm never going to top that!)

Oh but I'll try...

Mind if I leaf this here...
(Puns)

Hard Autumn stone.

Okay, £200 and I'll crawl up there next Halloween!
(Yep, I found a random cave/hole/thing)

And back to the arty photography. How am I doing?

Love the way the sun drenches this one.

Those colours, look at them!

It was nearly Halloween and the tree looked kinda witchy. Had to try it with an orange colour filter.

I see fire...

Old abandoned playground in the old abandoned quarry.

I never look like my reflection either.

Stages of Autumn.

Glowing Golden Gods.

Greyed Green Gods.

Complex colour creation

Perhaps not as good as the others but not terrible, maybe.

Ready to go home?

Autumn is completely underrated. Yeah, people love the leaves and pumpkins and Halloween, (and Halloween is definitely the best holiday of the year!) but there's so much more to it than that. Such a simple divinity in the transition, in the maturity of it, definitely something to be admired.

As always, any tips and comments are greatly appreciated!

Autumn Experiment!

Quick experiment. Saw this view out of the window and had to see what I could do. What do you think?

Weather was obviously overcast and raining in mid Autumn, taken on 2017-10-23.

Complete experiment. Had to take a first one to compare my others to.

Once more with a bit more colour.

Bigger raindrops and a bigger focus contrast between the droplets and the trees.

So, let me know what you think! I have absolutely no idea how well this worked. Probably not very but I think I learned a bit for future pictures.

Autumn in Haigh!

Autumn is here! The season everyone loves for the colours and the pumpkins but very quickly decide, no, they actually hate it. I love autumn and Halloween is the best holiday of the year! My family fancied a walk... for a bit at least so one day out with them I couldn't resist taking a few pictures! (I wonder how many people read these bits)

These were all taken on 2017-10-12 in the Haigh Woodlands on a brilliant bright early autumn day. Enjoy!

What else were you expecting if not pictures of trees?

How can you not love autumn!

Also, how can you not love Halloween?

This one might go on my favorites list. The landscape orientation definitely helps get the crowded feel in there without there actually being so many trees as to make it too crowded.

Shots like this are compulsory for hipsters in autumn, right?
(Really with I didn't have that white blur in the bottom left corner though)

Autumn river... well early Autumn.

Autumn creeps in, tree to tree.

Think the portrait orientation works better here.

It took so long to get a picture with that swan looking up instead of pruning itself!

Managed to get one more hipster shot in there!

There's much more autumn pictures coming! (though ironically it's pretty much Winter now as I'm finally getting round to posting these) I'm so glad to wander around these changing scenes. Can't wait to do more!

As always any tips and comments are greatly appreciated!
