2/3 Finally getting arty with it - Rivington

And we're back with the second lot of these terrible, terrible photos... well, a few of them might be half decent, but I'm just some hippie with a camera. I'm not... (why can't I think of any famous photographers...)

Anyway, We're still on that otherworldly morning on Rivington Pike with that amazing light on 1-9-2015. Enjoy the second bout!

Shout out for anyone who can explain that tree on the right! 

I still remember the light that morning. I'll never loose that memory!

Seriously, how can you not love that light!

I played with the colour filter a little here. let me know what you think!

This spot is being used more these days as a venue for various events. They're all awesome!

Hill rolling away and that light behind, love it! 

Who on earth puts a croc on a stick and leaves it there? Well, the same people who drank all those beer cans I guess. (I cleaned up after taking the pic)

Not much to say here. This structure is way out of the way so I love how nature reclaimed the stone of these steps.

I don't think I did too badly at getting dark and light in the same picture... maybe could have used a better subject matter beyond that but not terrible.

I just love how the light seeps through the trees towards the camera.  

The thin trees almost looked like streaks on a painting.

Had to be done!

With trickling light like that, how could I not?

More subtle use of the colour filter there. Quite proud of that one! 

The sun was definitely getting higher and brighter by this point, approaching midday.

Had to try a trick perception (there's two trees on the left, looking like one)

Played with the blurring effects here. What do you think?

Okay, here I experimented with the light. Here the lense is directly in the light...

And here the direct light is obscured by a tree, which do you prefer? I figured they were both effective in different ways so took them both.

Hmm... this is either not bad or dizzying... or both. It was an experiment, opinions?

Not much subject matter beyond the roof that branch makes, had to get that!

More dark and light to see us out...

The way both the dark trees and the bright light trickle down these pictures like streaks on a canvas completely enthralled me that early autumn morning. 

Hope you enjoyed these pictures as much as I did. Just one more post from that morning then we'll move on, promise! As always tips and comments are hugely appreciated!
