Solar Eclipse in the fog!

Aw, yeah. I'm so proud that I managed to get pics of this!

In 2015, whilst I was at university, there was a solar eclipse! Yep! I got off from lectures and went high up on one of the nearby hills and made it to a perfect viewing spot in perfect time, and with fog and just the right amount of cloud! What more needs said.

These pictures were taken in Bangor, North Wales on 20-3-2015, with an thin yet wide cloud cover and fog of all things!

Enjoy! I definitely do!

Yep, that's the sun being blocked by the moon behind some clouds. Amazing!

More central position for those who want it.

In our part of the world that's as covered as it got. A global event and I caught it at its peak!

A castle shrouded in fog in the half light of an eclipse. One of the most surreal things I've ever seen.

Bangor under a fog drenched eclipse!

The moon gave the sun back to us after a short while.

This was one of the more surreal moments of my life. I remember running back into town to try and find a disposable BBQ and stuff to put on it to hand out to people, since there were so many on the hill and I'm nice like that, but couldn't find any and I ran back across the town and up the hill whilst the sun darkened and everything around me went dark around midday. People in their cars stopped at the sides of the road and got out to look up. I can't describe really experiencing that, the exhilaration, the majesty, the sheer huge nature of it! and on the hill there were guys doing fire dances, people playing music and singing, all kinds of things. This memory is definitely on the highlight reel.

Well, as always any comments and tips are hugely appreciated!

Thanks for browsing! Cya soon!
